3-D STEPPER MOTOR DRIVER
STMD-3

USE
The 3-D Stepper Motor Driver (STMD- III) is especially designed to control the operation of three bipolar stepper motors.
The STMD-III can be connected to an Motion Control card, from which it receives the signals that determine the precise behavior of the controlled stepper motors.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Basic Structure
The Stepper Motor Driver consists of one to three Stepper
Motor Drive Modules. A power supply is ensuring their energy supply while a controlling communication bus is handling the communication between them and an
Motion Control card installed in a computer. Each of these modules is based on a conventional robust Printed Circuit
Board (PCB), with one 31-pin and one 15-pin connectors attached on it. On the PCB are placed a number of selected electronic components including five opto-isolators, a number
of resistors, capacitors and diodes, along with powerful transistors.

In developing new models, LT-P is based on past proven technologies. A thorough knowledge of modern circuitry and power electronics coupled with the use of modern semiconductor technologies based on ultra-fast transistor, low power loss electromagnetic components and microprocessor technology, makes it possible to continue designing and producing innovative electronic devices.

INCLUDED COMPONENTS: STMD-1
STMD-1 Module is the heart of STMD-III. Up to three of these modules are included in the STMD-III, each one assigned to drive one stepper motor. For further details about this module, refer to our STMD-1 information.

COOPERATING PARTS: I/O card IOCARD-1
The 3-D Stepper Motor Driver (STMD -Ill) is designed to receive signals, that will determine its behavior, by an I/O card incorporated in an IBM PC Compatible computer. Our company provides such an I/O card.
